Mircea Pop
Born on 21 April 1956, în the village of hasdate, Gherla city, county of Cluj.
Studies:
– Popular Art School- painting section, class of 1978;
– Visual Arts Academy ”Ion Andreescu”-ceramic- glass section/class of 1998;
Civic education project 1995
From 1998 2021 teacher holder of Visual Education in the city of Gherla.
Member of UAP Romania- Cluj branch from the year 2000.

”Through his entire approach of great conceptual value, the author places himself in a sui-geberis mode, in that current of contemporary art named, ‘noua figuratie’, founded on the mythology of contemporary life. It escapes but in this powerful trend of scholarship which represses ingenuity. ‘Noua figuratie’ from his art is not the result of a ‘television culture’as this current was imposed abroad but becomes a spiritual investigation based on the book. We only have to outline again the valor of this type of artistic speech, which seeems for our art a great boldness and novelty.”
